Athlete Story – David Santa Cruz Borgstrand

Downfalls like injuries are a part of every athlete’s life but your perspective determines whether it beats you down or pushes you harder. David chooses love and laughter to pave his road to recovery.

With pain from back issues, it’s harder for him to maintain the pre-injury level of vigor in his exercise routine. However, it has not stopped him from working hard. He trains for 2 hours in the morning, and a second session at home in the evening while completing his work during the day and spending time with his family.

Finding a work-life balance can be difficult for every athlete with a full time job, so he makes a point to focus on his nutrition, sleep and stress levels to be able to get through this road block in his life.

He believes that having fun in whatever you’re doing is the true path to success and is what makes you a great crossfitter.

If there’s anything we have learnt from him, it’s that take things one step at a time, and remember to have fun while you’re at it, much like our Crossfeet socks!
